Spark’s Gorgeous Cover!

Hurray! I’m so excited I get to be a part of J.M. Hackman’s cover reveal for Spark!

This is the first book in the Firebrand Chronicles, a series that follows Brenna James, a normal teen who discovers she can shoot fire from her bare hands. And freaks out just the teeniest tiniest bit.

(I mean, come on. Wouldn’t you?)

It’s so good!

Here is the back cover copy:

Brenna James wants three things for her sixteenth birthday: to find her history notes before the test, to have her mother return from her business trip, and to stop creating fire with her bare hands.

Yeah, that’s so not happening. Unfortunately.

When Brenna learns her mother is missing in an alternate reality called Linneah, she travels through a portal to find her. Against her will. Who knew portals even existed? But Brenna’s arrival in Linneah begins the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, including a royal murder and the theft of Linneah’s most powerful relic: the Sacred Veil.

Hold up. Can everything just slow down for a sec?

Unwilling yet left with no other choice, Brenna and her new friend Baldwin (Um, hello, Hottie!) pursue the thief into the dangerous woods of Silvastamen and beyond. Exactly what Brenna wanted to do for her sixteenth birthday. Exactly. When they spy an army marching toward Linneah, Brenna is horrified. Can she find the veil, save her mother, and warn Linneah in time?

And more importantly, why on earth doesn’t this alternity have Belgian waffles?

And just to drag out this sweet torture just a smidgeon more, here is a little about the author herself. (Are you dying to see the cover? I’m dying to show it to you! But seriously, you’ve got to get to know J.M. Hackman first.)

J.M. Hackman has held many positions: assistant librarian, office assistant, office manager, substitute teacher, writer, wife, and mother. She still holds the last three. And loves it. She received a degree in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University and now spends her days writing stories, consuming massive quantities of chocolate, and looking for portals to other worlds. You can find her at www.JMHackman.com.

And now for the main event.

Cover Reveal for Kill the Beast

Kill the Beast: Book One of the Beast Hunters

Ro remembers the castle before. Before the gates closed. Before silence overtook the kingdom. Before the castle disappeared. Now it shimmers to life one night a year, seen by her alone.

Once a lady, now a huntress, Ro does what it takes to survive—just like the rest of the kingdom plunged into despair never before known.

But a beast has overtaken the castle. A beast that killed the prince and holds the castle and kingdom captive in his cruel power. A beast Ro has been hired to kill.

Thankful the mystery of the prince’s disappearance has been solved, furious the magical creature has killed her hero, Ro eagerly accepts the job to end him.

But things are not as they seem.

Trapped in the castle, a prisoner alongside the beast, Ro wonders what she should fear most: the beast, the magic that holds them both captive, or the one who hired her to kill the beast.

A Beauty and the Beast retelling.

Isn’t that incredible? Ahh! I’m screaming over here!

I cannot wait until you are able to read my brand-new story.

Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic day with me!

In Him,

Michele

Michele Israel Harper is an addict. To books, to writing—if it includes ink and paper, she’s all over it. When she discovered she could write books instead of simply read them…well, let’s just say she’s rarely been seen outside of her office since. She adores leading her writers’ group, the Heartland Christian Writers, and has no idea what she would do without the American Christian Fiction Writers. Being voted treasurer for her local Indiana Chapter of ACFW just about sent her into a happy coma. Which, you know, she’s very much familiar with since that happens at the end of every good book she reads.

Author of Wisdom & Folly: Sisters, Zombie Takeover, and the soon-to-be-released Kill the Beast, Michele prays her involvement in writing, editing, and publishing will touch many lives in the years to come.

Ending Fear’s Cover Reveal! Yay!

I’m so excited I can hardly stand it.

Cover reveals quite possibly are my favorite authorly posts to be a part of.

I mean, first I get to be one of the first people to see a cover, then I get to post gorgeous art on my website, and to top it off I learn about a brand-spanking-new book–what’s there not to love about a reveal?

So, without further ado, here it is.

Wait for it.

It’s coming.

Are you hyperventilating yet? (No? Only I get that excited? I knew it.) ;)

Ta-da! Deanna Fugett’s cover for her debut novel, Ending Fear!

Isn’t it lovely?

The first time I saw it, I just about died. In love!

There is such wistfulness, such longing, such wanting to be free of fear, the girl can’t help but match the title.

I have a feeling this book is going to be awesome. I just know it. ;) (Okay, okay, so I’ve already read it. It is amazing!!! I can’t wait till you get to read it too!)

Here is a synopsis of this YA Dystopian:

Fourteen-year-old Fear learns she was a parachute baby, dumped over the edge of the Gliding Lands as an infant. Running from her abusive Downer family, Fear discovers a new family. One who knows how to love. But then her new little sister is kidnapped and sold to a harem. Fear must go against her namesake and journey to the dreaded Gliding Lands before the little girl’s innocence is ripped from her forever. Can she save Happy in time?

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I pray you have a wonderful day and read lots of marvelous books!

In Him,

Michele

A little more about the author:

Deanna Fugett’s heart belongs to writing. Author of edgy YA Dystopian fiction with an underlying message of hope, this stay-at-home mom of four focuses on writing as much as humanly possible. She was published at the young age of six in a local newspaper and is excited to be published again. It only took twenty-six years. She enjoys the thrill of writing fiction that deals with intense topics and prays it will impact people for the better. Visit www.quillsandinkblotts.blogspot.com to learn more about her.

Special Post: Cover Reveal!

Oh, wow.

Sara Helwe has done it again, only this time for another author. Isn’t that cover gorgeous?

My dear friend, Sarah Armstrong-Garner, is having her debut novel published.

And I get to be a part of her cover reveal! Squeal!

Sinking releases February 23, 2015, and will be available for pre-order soon.

I have read this book, and let me tell you, the cover is just as lovely as the inside. I can’t wait till you get to read it too!

Check out Sarah’s website to learn more about her, or her Facebook or Twitter to keep up with her updates. And don’t forget Pinterest! Her Sinking board has some crazy awesome pins of what inspired her story.

Okay. That’s it. I just had to share.

I can’t wait till this book is out! :)

Happy Reading!

In Him,

Michele

Which cover did I choose?

I decided to use both of them.

Yep. You heard me right.

Both. Of. Them.

92 chose the gold cover. 23 picked the blue.

You voted. I listened. But there was just one thing I couldn’t get over.

I am in love with the blue cover.

So here’s the thing.

Since Wisdom & Folly: Sisters is such a massive book, it is being published in two volumes. (Seriously, I added so much more–it has doubled in size!)

Then you get your cover, and I get mine! How perfect is that?

I am working hard with my cover artist, the amazing Sara Helwe, to get this book to you soon.

(But I must say I am so relieved to have a little bit more time to perfect the second part of the book! Yay!)

Up next: Just when is my release date? ;)

Can’t wait to share my book with you!

In Him,

Michele
